The chicken project was one of our less successful, but fun and creative projects. With the goal of securing funding for staff salaries the Enchipae Dispensary, we wanted to create a chicken farm that could generate income through sales of eggs and chickens. We “sold” chickens in Norway, allowing people to buy a chicken to live on the farm in Kenya. The project was initiated, but failed due to a drought. Sadly, the chickens were not kept. Still, we are grateful for everyone that took a chance at the project.
Later, Kajiado district announced that they would fund the health clinic salaries with public funding.
